Lorenzo Bonosi received his PhD in plant eco-physiology and a further Masters Degree in German literature, both from the University of Freiburg, Germany. Lorenzo is the author of several peer-reviewed scientific publications and translations. He has spent many years studying and working in several European countries and now works and resides in Uppsala, Sweden. Besides Italian and German, he is fluent in French and English and studied translation at the SETL-European School of Literature Translation in the Italian-German class held by Marianne Schneider.

David Butler Manning received his Bachelor (Hons.) Degree in Agricultural Science from University College Dublin, Ireland, in 2000. He subsequently spent seven years working and researching at the Institute of Silviculture of the University of Freiburg, Germany. In 2008 he was awarded his doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.). Upon returning to Dublin, David took up a position as senior project administrator with InnovaWood, where he remained for two years. David speaks fluent German and since 2001 he has worked part time as a translator and as a proof reader of research papers, reports and theses. He has translated texts on a wide variety of subjects, including agricultural science, forestry, ecology, soil science, chemistry, remote sensing, biology and marine and environmental law.

Alberto Gualandi was awarded two PhDs in philosophy, at Université Paris VI, France, and at University of Urbino, Italy, and is currently an associate researcher of the University of Bologna. He is the author and editor of various books (e.g. ‘Deleuze’ and ‘Lyotard’, both Les Belles Lettres, Paris) and several publications and translations. Besides Italian, Alberto is fluent in French and German and now works and resides in Bologna, Italy.
Christoph Schneider received his Masters Degree in History, German and Italian Language and Literature at the University of Freiburg, Germany. Christoph has been studying and working in Perugia, Orléans, Rome, Paris, Berlin and Brussels and, besides German, he is fluent in Italian, French, Catalan and Spanish. He currently works as secondary school teacher near Freiburg, Germany, and as tour guide in France and Italy.

Stefania Manzana received her Master’s Degree in Modern Languages and Literature (English and French) from the University of Verona, Italy, with the highest attainable marks. She has subsequently translated several books, primarily children’s literature, for major Italian publishing houses including Rizzoli, Bollati Boringhieri and E/O. Stefania has studied and worked both in England and in France, where she has been living for four years, and is fluent in both languages.
